Highland Woodcraft is a small, family owned and operated company. We are an open-minded, creative workspace bringing together a multitude of mediums and ideas to produce unique, custom pieces of functional art. The primary focus is to implement the best traditional woodworking and joinery techniques to create statement pieces of furniture and décor that will last lifetimes. We aim to provide a sustainable, more relatable furniture shopping experience than the big-box stores with an emphasis on quality and creativity.
Our Process
Every great piece of furniture or art begins with an idea. Ideas and inspiration can come from anywhere - often when you're not even looking. We invite you to share your idea, and together we can make it a reality.
On-Site Consultations
When necessary, it's important for us to assess the whole scope of the project by visiting your home or office.
Design
We will consult with you and develop a design that meets your needs. Modern software will help visualize what we intend to create.
Fabrication
Using great care and attention to detail, we will handcraft your custom piece of furniture or decor.
Finishing
This is where wood comes to life. With proper sanding and the right finish, you are sure to have a beautiful piece.

Highland Woodcraft is a small family-owned business created in 2020 by Mike and Kristen. Mike has a background in Architecture and a love for woodworking. He built his knowledge and experience of the craft in a world-renowned custom furniture shop. He now has the opportunity to implement architectural techniques and building principles into his own designs of functional art, or apply his skills to make YOUR design a reality. Kristen's background in business, marketing, and customer service make for the perfect team to start a small business.
